Becky serves as the business manager of the family farm. Her vision is to provide her family and others with healthy, organically produced eggs, vegetables, fruits and pecans grown and harvested using sustainable methods. Her background includes previous sales and marketing management positions for a major advertising research provider and as a management consultant and corporate trainer focusing on leadership and personnel development.
A north Texas native, Becky grew up in the Rockwall, Texas area, moving there as a child from Dallas. Her parents were successful business owners, primarily in real estate development and custom home building. Becky graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Music degree and went on to get her Master’s Degree from the University of Memphis in a music interdisciplinary degree program. She thought she would become the next Carole King but that didn’t happen! It’s all good though because through it all she met and married her husband of 38 years, has two wonderful kids – Shannon, married to Leland and with a toddler daughter, and business consultant, and Benjamin, a college junior – and our dogs, Jake, Sweetie, & Millie.
Besides managing the business side of the farm activities, Becky is active off the farm managing residential rental properties. This love for education has led her to be on the Board of the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation, Inc. where she formerly served as Treasurer. She is the former vice chair of the Heath Park Board serving the community through effective management of the city’s parks and trails. She is also the former Vice President of the Rockwall County Open Space Alliance, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, where she, along with other like minded individuals and representatives from the various cities in Rockwall County, worked to ensure that open spaces in Rockwall County are left in natural states wherever possible to encourage enjoyment and education in our natural world. Becky’s passion with the farm activities is with raising chickens in an organically safe way producing eggs that are more nutrient rich and healthful.
